Nepal’s Horaa Esports Secures 9th Place in PUBG Mobile World Cup, Wins $127,500

 Nepal's professional PUBG Mobile team, Horaa Esports, has accomplished an impressive goal by finishing ninth in the Esports World Cup 2025, which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.This is the first time a Nepali team made it to the PUBG Mobile World Cup, defeating some of the top 15 teams in the world. 


 Horaa Esports performed well throughout the event, earning a total reward of $127,500, or around Rs 17.8 million.  The Grand Finals saw the squad reach 100 points in 18 games, including a memorable "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" on the last day.


The team received prize money at different phases: $27,500 for finishing 13th in the Group Stage, $25,000 for a first-place finish in the Survival Stage, $15,000 from the Show Match, and $60,000 for finishing 9th in the Grand Finals. Horaa players were Jiggle, No Fear, Sky, and Sleepy, who all did a great job and worked well as a team during the event.


The Yangon Galacticos of Myanmar won $500,000 after winning the tournament with 157 points and four Chicken Dinners.  Weibo Gaming from China came in second place with 142 points, followed by Alpha Gaming from Mongolia in third place with 141 points.  Dak, a Mongolian athlete, won $50,000 for winning the tournament's Most Valuable athlete (MVP) award.


By performing so well and winning, Horaa Esports has made history for Nepal in the global esports community. Horaa's success has opened a new path for the next generation of Nepali gamers. It also offers another chance for the country to succeed on the international stage.
