ANFA (All Nepal Football Association) is the official launch of the FIFA Football For Schools (F4S) program for the first time ever in Nepal on July 31, 2025 (Shrawan 15, 2082), at 1 PM at Dasharath Stadium, Kathmandu.
The F4S Programme is a global programme developed by FIFA in partnership with UNESCO using Football as a tool to educate children in an educational, developmental, and life skill context to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).
Details of the Programme:
Schools involved: 1,072 schools across all 77 districts of Nepal
Number of Footballs distributed: 32,640 Adidas footballs
Age Group: 4- 14 year old children
Platform: free mobile app containing videos and lessons that include football and life skills
Coaches and teachers will have the opportunity to have some special training to help the effective and fun delivery of football education
Coordination: ANFA is working with the Ministries of Youth & Sports, and Education, Science & Technology
Present at the press meet on July 29 were FIFA officials Antonio Buenano Sanchez and Alberto Giacomini who have committed to the successful implementation of the F4S program.
This launch represents a big step towards linking sports and education to enrich the global development and holistic development of children across Nepal.
