Nepal's U-19 women team set for World Cup in Malaysia

KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has revealed its 15-man squad for the ACC U-19 Women's World Cup, with Pooja Mahato serving as captain and Soni Pakhrin as vice-captain. Athletes like Sabitra Dhami, Kusum Godar, Jyotsinka Marasini, and Sana Prabin are also on the team.


Nepal secured their place in the competition last month after winning the U-19 Asia qualifiers. The team is now able to participate worldwide thanks to this achievement.


From January 18 to February 2, Malaysia will host the U-19 Women's World Cup, which will include 16 teams in total. Bangladesh, Australia, and Scotland are all bitter rivals, and Nepal is in Group "D."


On January 18, Nepal will play their first game of the season against Bangladesh. On January 20, they will play their second group-stage match against Scotland, and on January 22, they will play their final group-stage match against Australia.
