KATHMANDU: Nepal secured a 2-0 lead in the bilateral series prior to the third match after defeating the USA in an exciting super over in the second T20 match. At the completion of 20 overs, both teams were tied with 170 runs, forcing the super over in the game played at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

Sompal Kami was instrumental in Nepal's triumph, capturing two wickets while defending just seven runs in the last over and conceding just six runs. Kami held the USA to only two runs in the super over while taking two wickets in a row.

In the one-over eliminator, captain Rohit Paudel scored three runs to give Nepal a historic series victory over the USA away from home.

After winning the toss and deciding to bat, Nepal had earlier amassed 170 runs at a cost of six wickets. The man of the match award went to Kushal Bhurtel, who led Nepal in scoring with an incredible 92 not out of 54 balls.

Gulshan Jha and Rohit Paudel added 19 and 18 runs, respectively, while Anil Shah scored 25 runs off of 31 balls. Saurab Netravalkar claimed one wicket for the USA, while Jasdeep Singh and Nosthush Kenjige each claimed two.

Aaron Jones scored 62 runs as the USA nearly won the chase for 171. In the second final ball of the match, he tried to hit the winning boundary but was dismissed. 47 runs were contributed by Saiteja Mukkamalla.

The USA lost the super over despite contributions of 15 and 14 runs from Shayan Jahangir and Milind Kumar, respectively. Sagar Dhakal, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Sompal Kami all contributed wickets for Nepal, while Karan KC claimed three.

Nepal scored 164 runs and won the opening Twenty20 match of the series by 17 runs.

Following the series' third and final game on October 21, Scotland will play in a triangular series under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.

Under Rohit Paudel's leadership, Nepal's team featured important players including Anil Shah, Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Gulshan Jha, Aarif Sheikh, Dipendra Singh Airee, Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Rijan Dhakal, and Sagar Dhakal.

Nepal considers this series victory to be a significant turning point, particularly since they defeated the USA twice at home.
