KATHMANDU: Nepal and Canada will play in the ICC Men's World Cup League 2 at the Maple Leaf North-West field in King City, Canada, later this evening. Following their September 16 loss to the host country, Nepal will play Canada in the league for the second time.

Canada defeated Nepal by a decisive 103 runs in their first encounter. Nepal is currently ranked seventh on the points table, having only managed to accrue two points from one victory in six games.

Conversely, Canada has played far better, taking home 12 points from 10 games and occupying second place right now. After having trouble in the league thus far, Nepal will be trying to do better.

In their most recent League match, Nepal lost to Oman on September 18 by a mere run. In the current edition, the team, captained by all-arounder Rohit Paudel, is hoping to make a surprise.

Key players including Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane, and Aasif Sheikh are part of the Nepali team; other players include Bhim Sharki, Gulshan Jha, and Kushal Malla. In their upcoming matchup with Canada, they will aim to reverse their current situation.
