KATHMANDU: During the opening session of the Third Investment Summit, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) inked bilateral agreements aimed at boosting trade and investment promotion. The signing ceremony solidified the commitment of both organizations to explore opportunities for collaboration and mutual benefit in the economic sphere.
Representatives from Nepal and India also forged a cooperation agreement during the summit. BLC Group Nepal and Yotta Data Services Private Limited of India signed an accord to collaborate on the establishment and operation of a data center. This partnership underscores the growing interest in cross-border cooperation and the potential for joint ventures in emerging sectors such as information technology.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of FNCCI, and Tan Sri Dato’ Soh Thian Lai, President of NCCIM, signed the bilateral agreements on behalf of their respective chambers, while Megha Chaudhary, Managing Director of BLC Group, and Sunil Gupta, CEO of Yotta Data Services Private Limited, sealed the cooperation agreement between their companies. These collaborations signify a step forward in fostering stronger economic ties between Nepal, Malaysia, and India, paving the way for enhanced trade and investment opportunities.
