KATHMANDU: Vice-President (South, Central and West Asia) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Yingming Yang, paid a visit to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday, meeting at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar. According to Prime Minister Dahal's Secretariat, they engaged in discussions regarding Nepal's economic development and the upcoming investment summit.
Prime Minister Dahal expressed confidence in Nepal's potential as an attractive investment destination, citing significant investments by the ADB in the country's physical infrastructure development. He emphasized Nepal's commitment to presenting effective and investable projects during the upcoming investment summit.
PM Dahal highlighted the government's efforts in creating a conducive environment for investment through legal and policy-level revisions, describing it as the best opportunity for investment in Nepal. He underscored the importance of strategic projects and welcomed ADB's readiness to invest in Nepal's development initiatives.
Vice-President Yang affirmed ADB's commitment to investing in Nepal's strategic projects and expressed readiness to develop a strategy for further investment in the country. The meeting was attended by Dr. Rupak Sapkota, Foreign Affairs advisor to PM Dahal, and high-ranking officials of ADB in Nepal.
