KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has advised Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal not to undertake any actions with enduring implications, citing his loss of majority support in parliament. In a press release issued on Thursday, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel stressed that PM Dahal should avoid decisions that could have long-term effects.
A vote of confidence in PM Dahal would not be possible, according to the party, because of the UML and Nepali Congress's partnership. Eight CPN-UML ministers had previously resigned from their posts and stopped endorsing the Dahal-led administration. PM Dahal is therefore required to request a vote of confidence within the following thirty days.
