Very soon, there will be a Pokémon GO event in Indonesia for Indonesian users only. The event, called "Goal Time with Pikachu", will run from Monday, August 4, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday August 9, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Goal Time with Pikachu will celebrate Indonesian love of soccer and introduce a brand new Pikachu version, with an Indonesia football jersey. The special Pikachu is developed in collaboration with Indonesia National Football Team (Timnas Indonesia).
During the event, players can find and catch Pikachu wearing a special football jersey in the wild, in raids, and by completing special Field Research tasks. You might even come across a Shiny variant of this Pikachu if you're lucky. Other Pokémon, in addition to Pikachu, will be more common in the wild. Charmander, Voltorb, Hitmonlee, Eevee, Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble are a few of these.
Charmander, Pikachu, and Eevee are especially important in this event because they are the favorite Pokémon of real Indonesian football players. Witan Sulaeman likes Charmander. Viny Silfianus chose Pikachu. Arlyansyah Abdulmanan picked Eevee.
There will be special bonuses active during the event. Players will get double Buddy Catch Assist, which means your Pokémon buddy will help you catch other Pokémon more often. Incense will last twice as long, and you’ll get double experience points (XP) when catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, or Excellent throws.
In raids, you’ll find Pikachu wearing the Indonesia football jersey, and once again, there’s a chance it might be Shiny. By spinning PokéStops and completing Field Research tasks, players can meet Pokémon like Pikachu in the jersey, Voltorb, and Hitmontop.
There’s also a Collection Challenge. If you catch all the required Pokémon during the event, you will be rewarded with another chance to meet Pikachu in the football jersey. This Pikachu is very unique and will only be available at this time
It's an exciting event focused on Indonesian Pokémon Go players that celebrates both the enjoyability of the game and the footballing culture in the country. As always players are reminded to keep safe, be aware of their surroundings, and to follow any health and safety requirements for players while playing the game. Things can change or updates can happen, so it's recommended players to follow along on official Pokémon Go social media platforms, push notifications, or email updates to get the latest news.
Prepare to explore, catch, and have fun during Goal Time in Indonesia with Pikachu.
