KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has launched the bidding process for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) franchise. A Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued, inviting both Nepali and international companies to invest in the cricket league. Interested parties must submit their applications by August 16, along with a non-refundable fee of Rs 100,000.
To qualify, companies must be registered with the Office of the Registrar, be VAT-registered, and possess a valid tax clearance certificate. Foreign bidders can participate if they form a joint venture with a Nepali company. Companies with records of criminal charges, financial fraud, or money laundering will be disqualified.
Last year, CAN partnered with Indian company Seven3 Sports to host the Nepal T20 League. The central working committee of CAN has scheduled the NPL for November/December, following a decision made on July 5.
