KATHMANDU: Yamlal Khanal was officially sworn in as the Chief Attorney of Lumbini Province today. The oath was administered by Chief Judge Nityananda Pandey of the High Court, Tulsipur, at a ceremony held at the Butwal-based Office of the Province Chief. Province Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar, along with Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya, Speaker Tularam Ghartimagar, Deputy Speaker Menuka Khand KC, and other senior officials, attended the event.
Khanal, a resident of Butwal Sub-Metropolis-9, was appointed to the position on August 22, following a recommendation from Chief Minister Acharya. His appointment was made in accordance with Article 160 (2) of the Constitution.
