KATHMANDU: Police detained two individuals carrying an undisclosed amount of Rs 98 lakhs, sourced from unknown origins. According to SSP Sanuram Bhattarai, Head of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, the arrests took place in the Durbarmarg area. The suspects, originally from Butwal in Rupandehi, were apprehended while in possession of the substantial sum.
SSP Bhattarai announced plans for a press conference at 11:30 today to offer further insight into the incident. The arrests transpired while the individuals were traveling in a vehicle near Jai Nepal Hall. Authorities are investigating the suspects' potential involvement in the gold trade.
