KATHMANDU: Sewa Lamsal, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been recommended for the role of Nepalese Ambassador to Belgium. This suggestion was made during a recent cabinet meeting that took place at the Council of Ministers and the Office of the Prime Minister.
After the government makes its choice, Lamsal, who made history as the first female secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be assigned to the ambassadorial post.
Furthermore, there is conjecture that Amrit Rai, the Foreign Service's highest-ranking spokeswoman at the moment, may be named the interim Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lamsal's place.
