KATHMANDU: According to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the new government's formation is intended to solve the nation's problems and carry out the required reforms. Speaking to office-bearers of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Oli made it clear that his desire to improve the nation's economy and address urgent issues drove his decision to take back the prime ministership, not personal ambition.

Oli stressed that addressing current issues and improving economic conditions is the government's main goal. He called on the private sector to support the government's mission and collaborate in addressing these issues. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining stable tax rates and urged the private sector to oppose policies that could be harmful.

CNI President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal urged the government to focus on revitalizing the economy, which has faced a slowdown over the past three years. He pointed out that while external economic indicators are promising, the domestic economy remains troubled, particularly affecting the productive and construction sectors. Agrawal stressed the need for supportive policies to boost the private sector's morale.

The meeting included insights and suggestions from former CNI presidents Bishnu Kumar Agrawal, Satish Kumar More, and Haribhakta Sharma, as well as vice-presidents Nirvana Chaudhary, Birendra Raj Pandey, Raj Bahadur Shah, Amit More, and Bhim Ghimire, and governing council members Shiva Ratan Sharada, Yogeshwar Lal Shrestha, and Bal Krishna Shrestha. They shared their perspectives on the current economic situation and offered recommendations for improving it.
