KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' expressed optimism about resolving the ongoing parliamentary obstructions by Monday. Despite the failure of today's political meeting aimed at addressing the parliamentary impasse, he believes that consensus and agreement will be reached by tomorrow. He conveyed this sentiment while responding to concerns regarding the government's policies and programs for the fiscal year 2081-82 (2024-25) during a House of Representatives meeting focused on achieving consensus.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the current obstruction of parliamentary proceedings by the Nepali Congress, who are demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate the alleged involvement of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Rabi Lamichhane, in the misappropriation of cooperative funds. Despite the challenges faced today, he expressed hope that a resolution would be achieved by tomorrow.
Prachanda's confidence in finding a political solution to the ongoing parliamentary deadlock underscores the government's determination to address the concerns raised by the opposition and facilitate the smooth functioning of parliamentary proceedings. He emphasized the importance of reaching consensus for the effective governance and decision-making processes in Nepal's democratic system.
