KATHMANDU: Dhanusha Police are set to present Kailash Sirohiya, Chairman of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), in court today for the third time, seeking another extension in the ongoing investigation into citizenship acquisition fraud. Sirohiya was arrested on May 21, and the Dhanusha District Court has previously granted two three-day extensions for further investigation.

Sirohiya, who was admitted to Kavya Hospital in Janakpurdham due to high blood pressure and cardiac issues, is currently under medical care. Despite his health condition, the police are preparing to bring him before the court. Dhanusha police spokesperson DSP Ranjan Awa stated that Sirohiya's health is being closely monitored.

Sirohiya's hospitalization has restricted media access, leading to speculation on social media that his medical condition is being used to evade detention. This situation has attracted widespread criticism, with many questioning the authenticity of his medical issues.
