KATHMANDU: Dailekh's petroleum exploration project is almost finished; just 70 meters of drilling are left. The Jaljale region of the Bhairabi Rural Municipality has seen notable advancements, according to the Department of Mines and Geology.

Drilling has been finished on 3,930 meters as of Wednesday. The drilling started on May 10 and is expected to be completed this month, according to Ganesh Nath Tripathi, Chief of the Department's petroleum project.

Numerous surveys, including seismic, geological, magnetotelluric, and geochemical evaluations, were part of the exploration's early phases and were all finished on schedule. The continuing drilling activities were based on these surveys.

The China Geological Survey, the Cibu Drilling Engineering Company, and Nepal's Department of Mines and Geology are working together on the project, which is financed by a Rs 2.5 billion grant from the Chinese government. Efficient progress has been made possible by our relationship.

The excavation site, which covers 45 ropanis of land in Jaljale, is being worked on by a team of 80 professionals, including both Chinese and Nepali specialists. The project has advanced thanks in large part to their concerted efforts.

The drilling's completion represents a significant turning point in Nepal's petroleum product exploration, and the results should offer important new information about the nation's energy reserves.
