KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the former Home Minister and chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), along with six other individuals, has been presented to the Kaski District Court. The group includes former Gorkha Media vice chairman Chhabilal Joshi, Nature Herbs owner Ram Bahadur Khanal, Lila Pachain, former board member Krishna Gurung, former Treasurer Aarti Gurung, and the vice chairperson of the board and former MP Meena Gurung, according to the Kaski District Police Office.
Statements have already been recorded from Joshi and Pachain, but Lamichhane has not yet provided his statement. Aarti Gurung, the former treasurer, and Meena Gurung, the former MP, were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the case.
The recording of statements began on Monday after new charges were filed against Lamichhane on Sunday. These charges have prompted the ongoing legal proceedings, which are being held in front of Judge Nitij Rai.
Investigations and statements are currently being reviewed as part of the ongoing judicial processes. The other parties involved are assisting the legal procedure, and Lamichhane's statement has not yet been recorded.
Hearings are still going on, and once all statements have been formally recorded and examined, the court will decide what to do next. Lamichhane's and the other people's legal outcomes are still waiting.
