KATHMANDU: Incessant rains have caused flooding in Theulekhola of Baglung, which has led to obstruction of the Kaligandaki corridor. Vehicles heading towards Butwal, Bhairahawa, Kapilvastu, Dang, and Muktinath have been stranded in Jaimini Municipality-1 of Baglung.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Yadav, Information Officer of the District Police Office in Baglung, has reported that the blockade has stopped vehicles heading to Baglung market from various areas.

The continuous rain over the past few days has also damaged the national pride project Madhyapahari Lokmarg (Mid-Hill Highway), with approximately 15 kilometers of road from Galkot Municipality-3 Hatiya to Badigad Rural Municipality-2 Hadikhola being affected.

However, Galkot Municipality spokesman Him Bahadur Bhandari confirmed that the public road is now operational again after the removal of landslides.
