KATHMANDU: Lawmaker Deepak Giri of the Nepali Congress has called on the government to act quickly to provide justice for the farmers who were harmed by Swargadwari Guthi and have been demonstrating for the past several days. He demanded that Swargadwari be protected and promoted, stressing its importance as an important pilgrimage site.

The farmers who are protesting claim that the government's refusal to implement the agreement agreed with them is the reason for the ongoing turmoil. Giri underlined the pressing need for the authorities to grant their pleas.

Hitraj Pandey, the leader of the CPN (Maoist Center), has criticized the administration for often removing scheduled debate topics from the agenda and neglecting parliamentary processes. He claimed that elected officials' viewpoints were being disregarded by the government.

CPN (UML) lawmaker Mahesh Bartaula retorted that parliamentary statutes allow agenda amendments and defended the government's activities. On such reforms, he insisted, there should be no dissent.

Shishir Khanal, a Rastriya Swatantra Party member, expressed his dissent concerning the behavior of the All Nepal National Free Students' Union regarding the incident at ASCOL College. He expressed worries over Ashika Tamang's 15-day handcuffing and the police's failure to look into the alleged assault on the policemen.

During the emergency session, other lawmakers Ganesh Parajuli, Sita Mijar, Sushila Sirpali Thakuri, and Dikpal Kumar Shahi spoke about a variety of contemporary issues of national importance.

Throughout the discussion, calls for increased accountability from the administration in addressing pressing issues were made, as were MPs' growing concerns about governance, justice, and law enforcement.
