KATHMANDU: An emergency Cabinet meeting is scheduled for this afternoon to address the aftermath of the recent helicopter crash in Nuwakot district. The meeting will focus on making critical decisions regarding relief and compensation for those affected by the crash, which occurred in Suryachaur, Shivpuri Rural Municipality Ward Number 7.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s Secretariat has confirmed the meeting, and PM Oli has expressed his sorrow over the incident. This crash involving an Air Dynasty helicopter follows another major air disaster in Nepal, marking the second significant air crash in just two weeks.
In the past, 18 of the 19 people on board a Saurya Airlines aircraft died in an accident at Tribhuvan International Airport. Concerns regarding aircraft safety in the area have increased in light of the recent events.
