KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has challenged his accusers to prove his guilt in a fraud case and imprison him. Lamichhane particularly asked the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML to provide evidence in support of their allegations in the cooperative fraud case and to file a lawsuit if he is found guilty during a parliamentary meeting on Friday.
During his speech, Lamichhane highlighted the accomplishments of his time as Home Minister, emphasizing the government's notable strides in upholding integrity in governance and combating corruption. He described the new alliance between the Nepali Congress and UML as a reaction driven by fear of these good governance initiatives.
Lamichhane urged the future government to continue the present administration's good governance initiative. He emphasized the necessity of continuing efforts to eradicate corruption and promote openness in governance.
