KATHMANDU: Two people, Khushboo Khatun, 20, and Kabul Devgan, 18, have been taken into custody on suspicion of killing their grandfather, Ramjan Devgan, 80, in the Parsa district. Pokhariya Municipality-8's Jagatpur is home to both suspects.

The Parsa Police spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kishor Lamsal, confirmed that the arrests were made on Tuesday. The event happened on Monday night amid a marital dispute.

Lamsal claims that Ramjan's request for his grandchildren to disconnect the Wi-Fi was the catalyst for the argument. This resulted in a disagreement that turned violent.

After suffering serious injuries during the incident, Ramjan was first brought to Birgunj Health Care and then sent to Birgunj's Neuro Hospital. He was treated, but on Tuesday morning he passed away from his wounds.

The grandfather died as a result of a physical assault that started as a dispute over the Wi-Fi, according to Lamsal. Following his death, the accused were quickly captured.

Khushboo and Kabul have been taken into custody by the police in relation to the murder, and they are currently looking into the matter further.

The terrible event has made the local community take notice of the serious repercussions of unresolved domestic conflicts.
