KATHMANDU: Starting today, August 27, Nepal Airlines Corporation's A-320 aircraft, registered 9N-AKW, will begin operating on a regular basis. Unexpected mechanical problems had grounded the aircraft on August 24 in the evening. Since then, repairs have been made using replacement parts that were shipped in from Miami, USA.
NAC Spokesperson Ramesh Paudel explained that although regular maintenance was performed, an unexpected technical problem led to the grounding. Repairs are expected to be completed by 11 a.m., allowing the aircraft to return to its scheduled flights. In the interim, pre-scheduled flights were managed using other available aircraft.
