KATHMANDU: A medical emergency forced a Himalaya Airlines flight headed to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu to make an emergency landing in Muscat. The incident took place on a flight from Kuwait to Kathmandu.
The medical issue on board caused the airline to divert to Muscat, according to TIA Spokesperson Rinji Sherpa. Sherpa said he was unable to corroborate unverified rumors that a passenger might have had a deadly heart attack.
Sherpa clarified that after attending to the medical issue, the aircraft continued its flight to Kathmandu, but he added that no other details about the passenger's condition had been obtained.
To shed more light on the health emergency and its consequences, authorities are awaiting more information on the incident.
