KATHMANDU: Deepak Raj Joshi, the CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), has been reappointed. The decision was made at a meeting of the NTB Board of Directors on Thursday, which marked the start of Joshi's second term in the position.
Joshi, who held the role from 2015 to 2020, will be serving a four-year term. The board's trust in his leadership and outlook for Nepal's tourist industry is demonstrated by his re-appointment.
Other candidates considered for the CEO position included former CEO Dhananjaya Regmi and Gyaneshwar Singh Mahato, who were recommended by the Selection Committee.
The NTB's decision emphasizes a preference for Joshi's proven track record and experience in managing Nepal's tourism promotion and development efforts.
