KATHMANDU: A windstorm that struck Rupa Rural Municipality in Kaski caused partial damage to 14 houses and two temples, according to the police. The incident occurred on May 30, accompanied by rain, but fortunately, there were no reports of human or animal casualties.
Among the affected properties, the windstorm inflicted damage on residences belonging to individuals such as Nar Maya Gurung, Som Bahadur Khadka, and Harka Bahadur Gurung. Other households, including those of Abbas Ali Mia, Abdul Mia, and Razina Mia in Bhirchowk, also bore the brunt of the storm's impact.
In addition to residential structures, the Kot temple in Chisapani and the Kul temple in Thapa village suffered roof damage due to the forceful winds, as detailed in reports provided by the police.
