Revenue collection in Nawalparasi reaches Rs 21 billion in first 10 months of FY

KATHMANDU: In the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Sustapurba) collected a total of Rs 21 billion in revenue. This sum was amassed by various offices under both the federal and provincial governments, according to the District Treasury Office.

Jit Narayan Mahato, the Information Officer of the District Treasury Office, reported that the federal government is set to receive Rs 20.5 billion of this total revenue. Meanwhile, Rs 452 million will be allocated to the treasury of the Gandaki Province Government.

Mahato also noted that the Inland Revenue Office in Kawasoti was responsible for collecting Rs 20.33 billion of the total revenue during this period. This significant contribution underscores the role of the Inland Revenue Office in supporting the district's financial health.
