KATHMANDU: On Thursday, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) announced a reduction in the price of petroleum products. According to a press release issued on Wednesday, diesel and kerosene oil prices were reduced by Rs 2 per liter, while petrol was reduced by Rs 1 per liter. The cost of aviation fuels has not risen.
Petrol will cost Rs 167 per liter, while diesel and kerosene oil will cost Rs 155 per liter in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amalekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. The price of fuel in Surkhet and Dang will be Rs 169 per liter, while diesel and kerosene oil will be Rs 157 per liter.
Petrol will cost Rs 170 a liter in Pokhara, Kathmandu, and Dipayal, while diesel and kerosene oil will cost Rs 158 each. The price revisions reflect attempts to manage gasoline prices and bring assistance to Nepalese customers in diverse regions.
