KATHMANDU: A 56-year-old Chinese national who had come to Bharatpur for treatment at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital was tragically found deceased in a hotel room. The incident occurred at Barsana Hotel, located opposite the hospital, around 8:55 AM on a Sunday.
The Chinese individual has been residing at the hotel since June 24, according to Bijaya Raj Pandit, a spokesman for the District Police Office in Chitwan. The circumstances surrounding the death were the subject of an initial inquiry by the police. Authorities have been in touch with the Chinese embassy in Kathmandu to arrange for further measures because the deceased was a foreign person.
Pandit added that following preliminary investigations, the police have ruled out the potential of foul play or murder in this instance. At this time, no more information on the cause of death or any other relevant facts surrounding the occurrence has been made available.
