KATHMANDU: The water level in Nindakhola, located along the East-West Highway in Jhapa, has risen above the danger mark as of Thursday morning, reaching 125.786 cusecs, according to the Flood Forecasting Division.
The danger mark for Nindakhola is set at 122.5 cusecs. Authorities have issued warnings to residents in the riverine areas, particularly in Biring, Aduwa, and other smaller rivers nearby, advising them to stay alert for possible flooding due to heavy rainfall.
Meteorologists have indicated the likelihood of heavy rainfall in isolated areas across Koshi, Bagmati, and Sudurpaschim provinces later today. The ongoing monsoon season continues to influence weather patterns nationwide.
