KATHMANDU: Amid the ongoing dispute between the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and industries over dedicated and trunk line charges, two companies have resolved their outstanding payments. Sona Polymers and Sona Packaging, which use dedicated and trunk lines from the Bhairahawa distribution center, have recently settled their dues. Sona Polymers paid Rs 346,389, while Sona Packaging cleared Rs 355,067. Both payments included a 25 percent penalty.
Sanjay Mishra, head of the Bhairahawa distribution center, confirmed that these payments were made a few days ago. He noted that discussions with other industrialists regarding their dues are still ongoing.
