Patient killed in ambulance crash in East-West Highway

On Tuesday, an ambulance bearing an Indian number plate was involved in an accident, resulting in the death of a patient on the East-West Highway. The victim, identified as Bardiya resident Anjali Pariyar, tragically lost her life when the ambulance she was being transported in veered out of control and crashed in Balchaur of Lamki Chuha Municipality, according to police reports.

The 18-year-old patient had been receiving medical treatment in Haldwani, a city located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, and was en route back home at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, the ambulance mishap claimed her life, while the five other individuals who were also passengers in the vehicle managed to escape unscathed from the ordeal.

Law enforcement authorities have taken the ambulance driver into custody as part of ongoing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Further inquiries are underway to determine the cause of the tragic incident and ascertain any potential factors contributing to the loss of life.
