2 killed, 13 injured as passenger jeep veers off road in Palpa

KATHMANDU: A passenger jeep veered off course on the inner road of Nisdi Rural Municipality-4 Matiyardanda, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuries to 13 others last evening in Palpa.

The deceased individuals, identified as Rajeev Sunari from Nisdi-4 Mityal Belkhar and Tejan Somai from Nisdi-4 Mityal Gyangsibas, tragically lost their lives in the incident, as confirmed by the District Police Office Palpa.

The victims, aged seven and 16 respectively, succumbed to their injuries at Madhyabindu District Hospital in Kawasoti Municipality, Danda (Nawalparasi East), where they were rushed for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the injured passengers are currently receiving medical care at Chitwan Medical College.

The ill-fated jeep, registered as Lu 1 Ja 3324, was traveling from Nawalparasi (East of Bardghat Susta) Arunkhola to Palpa Nisdi Rural Municipality-3 Khadar with a total of 15 occupants, including the driver, according to police reports.
