KATHMANDU: To aid in relief operations, Rastriya Banijya Bank has contributed a sizeable amount of Rs 20 million to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli received the check from the bank's chairman, Dilip Kumar Dhungana, on Tuesday in the Singha Durbar Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Prime Minister Oli thanked the bank in his speech, emphasizing the value of such cooperation and support in aiding individuals impacted by the recent floods, landslides, and flooding. He underlined that contributions such as these are essential to giving the victims prompt relief.
Chief Executive Officer of Rastriya Banijya Bank Devendra Raman Khanal stated that this donation is in line with the bank's CSR programs. He reiterated the bank's dedication to helping the community through trying times.
On Monday, the Council of Ministers decided to make a major contribution to support the government's efforts to aid individuals affected by natural disasters by allocating an initial sum of Rs 1 billion to the Disaster Relief Fund.
