KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has sent out a notification to customers of dedicated feeder and trunk lines in an attempt to collect past-due power payments. This action is the result of decisions reached at an NEA Board meeting and a directive from the Ministry of Energy.
The NEA has written to its distribution centers to collect unpaid electricity bills that have accumulated between Magh 2072 BS and Baisakh 2075 BS. In order to improve tax collection and debt management, the NEA is adopting this measure.
Affected customers are asked to pay their outstanding debts by the end of Kartik 2081 BS in order to avoid further problems. The NEA aims to simplify the payment process for those who are in debt.
In the event that customers do not pay within the allotted period, the NEA has threatened to take legal action to recoup the lost money. The authority's dedication to upholding its financial stability and enforcing payment commitments is demonstrated by this action.
