KATHMANDU: For Nepali workers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the government has started an online labor permit approval service. According to the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Sarat Singh Bhandari, Minister for Labour, Employment, and Social Security, officially launched the service Thursday during an event in Dubai.
During his address, Minister Bhandari emphasized the government's commitment to enhancing the services provided to Nepali migrant workers. said efforts will go forward to make it much easier, accessible, and technology-driven for the support of workers abroad.
He further reiterated that the online approval of labor permits would greatly benefit Nepali workers because they will renew their papers from their respective workstations without returning home to Nepal. This difference will prevent users from interruptions in their jobs and businesses.
The minister pledged that the administration intends to expand this service to further overseas missions. The goal is to provide similar convenience to Nepali workers abroad.
The new technology is expected to improve overall experience, travel burden mitigation, and acceleration of administrative processes for Nepali migrants with respect to permit clearances.
