KATHMANDU: Prioritizing aircraft safety, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil aircraft has started short-, medium-, and long-term reforms. Minister Badri Prasad Pandey declared he would put all but the most critical programs on hold for a week in order to concentrate only on aviation safety. The ministry will endeavor to put the required measures in place to address aviation safety concerns in concert with its agencies.

The action is a reaction to the recent terrible event in which four Chinese nationals and local pilot Arun Malla perished in the accident of an Air Dynasty chopper in Shivapuri Rural Municipality-7, Nuwakot. Minister Pandey has urged all parties involved to lend their assistance and collaborate in order to address the persistent problems facing the aviation industry.

The Ministry has requested recommendations from stakeholders on immediate and long-term actions to enhance aviation safety. Suggestions can be sent to the Ministry’s official email address as part of their efforts to improve safety protocols and prevent future incidents.
