Man arrested in connection with murder of Professor Dharma Raj Bista

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office announced on Wednesday that they have arrested Ranjan Khadka in connection to the murder of Professor Dharma Raj Bista of the Nepal Commerce Campus, Minbhawan. Professor Bista was physically assaulted to death on Ashar 26, 2064 BS at Shankhamul, Kathmandu. The incident occurred over a dispute involving a woman named Sabita Adhikari.


Before Khadka was taken into custody, Binod Thapa and Sabita Adhikari had already been taken into custody in relation to the case. Thapa was sentenced to ten years in prison before being freed in 2079 BS. In connection with this ongoing murder case, Khadka, the son of Binod's maternal uncle, has recently been taken into custody.
