KATHMANDU: Beginning today, certain areas of Kathmandu will experience daily four-hour power outages for six consecutive days. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has declared that electricity services will be temporarily suspended from Sunday until May 10 to facilitate the underground installation of electricity distribution lines. Regions served by the Kuleshwar, Kirtipur, and Jorpati distribution centers will be impacted.
During the specified six-day period, power supply will be discontinued from 11 am to 3 pm each day. This interruption is part of the NEA's efforts to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electricity distribution by transitioning to underground infrastructure.
