KATHMANDU: On Thursday night, a pedestrian was killed and two motorcycle riders were injured in a deadly incident along the East-West Highway in Lalbandi Municipality, Sarlahi district. The event happened at around six o'clock in the afternoon in Lalbandi Municipality-6, close to a football field.
A motorcycle (Ba 94 Pa 9234) traveling from Lalbandi to Parwanipur struck a man of Terai descent, believed to be in his 50s, according to the Area Police Office Lalbandi. We do not yet know the victim's identification.
Niraj Lama, 27, of Gharibathan, Ishworpur Municipality-12, was riding pillion behind Binod Kumar Shrestha, 21, of Parwanipur, Lalbandi Municipality-16, who was operating the motorcycle. The collision injured both of them.
The Area Police Office Lalbandi reported that the injured people were first treated at a nearby medical institution in Lalbandi before being sent to Kathmandu for additional medical attention.
