KATHMANDU: Following a temporary suspension due to inclement weather, Tara Air will begin operating flights between Pokhara and Jomsom on Tuesday. The restart was brought on by better weather and the approaching tourist season, according to Tara Air's Aviation Security Officer, Sudarshan Bartaula. Aircraft will spend the night in Pokhara to enable seamless operations, with departures planned from the former airport there. With a 739-meter runway and an elevation of 2,736 meters above sea level, Jomsom Airport presents special difficulties for pilots.
Tara Air has decided to resume its flights to Jomsom and change the flight schedule for the Ramechhap-Lukla-Ramechhap route, effective September 20. Preparing for the anticipated surge in tourism in the post-monsoon season is the aim of this alteration. On this route, the airline plans to operate ten to fifteen flights each day using two Twin Otter aircraft.
The Ramechhap-Lukla itinerary has been modified to account for the anticipated increase of visitors heading to the Everest region. Tara Air's dedication to addressing the increasing demand and promoting tourism in the area is demonstrated by this proactive measure.
