KATHMANDU: At the stakeholders' conference held by the Department of Transport Management, it was resolved to provide route permits for passenger cars in Nepal, extending from Ghatasthapana to Purnima. This move is intended to facilitate more smooth travel during the holiday season.
For these passenger cars, beginning on September 28, customers will be able to reserve advance tickets, securing their seats ahead of time. This time, it's expected that route permits will be easier to get, facilitating cross-country travel.
It’s important to keep in mind that certain restrictions will still apply to specific vehicle classes and sizes because of the unique conditions of those roads. This ensures transportation efficiency and safety notwithstanding the greater availability of permits.
