KATHMANDU: The Baglung-Kaligandaki Corridor, a significant national project, has been rendered impassable due to landslides triggered by continuous rainfall. Suman Niure, Head of the District Traffic Police Office, reported that the landslides, occurring since Monday evening, have disrupted the corridor at Baglung Municipality-10 Dablyang.
Efforts to clear the landslide have been hindered by the ongoing rainfall, making the roadblock challenging to address. As a result, direct traffic between the district headquarters and Baglung has been severed.
The closure particularly affects farmers from Jaimini, who rely on the corridor to transport 400 liters of milk daily to the Baglung market. The disruption has created significant challenges for their daily operations and livelihoods.
