KATHMANDU: Ninety percent of the second phase of the Motihari-Bara-Amlekhgunj Petroleum Pipeline Project has already been completed. The objective of this project is to enhance the infrastructure for petroleum supply through a joint effort between India and Nepal.
Binitmani Upadhyay, the chief of the Madhesh Province Office of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), reported that the remaining tasks are expected to be completed within the next two months. Key milestones include the preparation of two tanks with a capacity of 4,001 kiloliters each and the nearing completion of pipeline laying.
The project has seen significant investment, with the Government of Nepal contributing Rs 1.54 billion and the Indian government investing Rs 600 million.
