KATHMANDU: The Kanti Lokpath, a key route connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu, has been obstructed due to landslides caused by recent rains. The landslides occurred at Lamrang in Bakaiya Rural Municipality-11, Makwanpur. Deputy Superintendent of Police Laxmi Bhandari reported that efforts are underway to clear the debris in collaboration with the Road Division Office.
In addition to road blockages, Nepal Police successfully rescued four individuals stranded in the Rapti rivulet at Dillipur, Manahari Rural Municipality-5, Makwanpur. The rescue operation, conducted last night, involved a coordinated effort by the Area Police Offices of Newarpani and Manahari, Bagmati Province Disaster Management, Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Army's Superstar Barracks.
DSP Bhandari confirmed that all four stranded individuals were safely rescued from the banks of the Rapti rivulet.
