After a gas cylinder exploded, the fire started in the hotel's kitchen and swiftly spread, seriously damaging neighboring buildings. The fire also affected three additional wood-framed structures.

Hotel staff, as well as personnel of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force, responded quickly to the situation. A 15-person police squad commanded by Sub Inspector Deepak KC came to Rara from the district headquarters in Gamgadhi to assist in putting out the fire. The fire was effectively extinguished by this morning.

No casualties were recorded, and all hotel guests were safely evacuated. To protect their safety, the visitors were moved to national park offices, army barracks, and hotels in the area. According to the District Police Office, the evacuation was completed quickly and without incident.

A gas cylinder exploded, adding gasoline to the fire, which had begun in the hotel kitchen and spread like wildfire. The nearby wooden structures sustained further damage as a result of the explosion. Responders put in a lot of effort to contain the fire and stop it from spreading.

Other incident details that are yet unknown include the cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage. As they continue their investigation into the incident, authorities plan to release more information in the coming days.
