KATHMANDU: Indira Rana, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has returned to Nepal following a five-day official visit to the Russian Federation, during which she attended the fourth Eurasian Women's Forum in Saint Petersburg.
The Interparliamentary Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States organized the event, which took place from September 18 to September 20. Rana's speech was delivered on September 18, the day of the opening.
Deputy Speaker Rana emphasized in her statement the difficulties that women and children encounter in exercising their rights and the significance of resolving these problems.
She also emphasized the need for preventive measures in this digital age by talking about the need to stop abuses that result from using technology.
Rana represented Nepal at this important international gathering, leaving for the forum on September 17 and arriving home on Saturday night.
