KATHMANDU: The National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) authorized the development of new teaching positions required to support post-graduate medical and nursing programs at its associated schools during its 31st senate meeting. The goal of this initiative is to add about 400 more students to the postgraduate health education program.
The purpose of the senate meeting, which was presided over by Minister of Health and Population Pradip Paudel, was to hire instructors for post-graduate medical and nursing courses for physicians and nurses in government medical and nursing institutes connected to NAMS.
This project is in line with the ministry's proposal, which was revealed on August 11, 2024, to increase the quota for post-graduate students at government medical colleges in order to solve the ongoing shortage of trained physicians in the country.
