KATHMANDU: According to the most recent data, 940,500 hectares of land have been transplanted with paddy this season, with 67.3 percent of the total completed. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development published the following data, which shows different levels of success in each province: 86 percent in Sudurpaschim Province, 69.2 percent in Bagmati, 75 percent in Gandaki, 66.7 percent in Lumbini, 78 percent in Karnali, and 61.7 percent in Koshi.
The ministry's spokesperson, Hari Bahadur KC, observed that this week's transplantation rate has significantly increased, which he ascribed to enough rainfall. In Nepal's many agricultural regions, a good paddy growing season depends on this timely progress.
